The Church today struggles to understand. partnership and its meaning for Christian men and women. In our brokenness we do not always fulfill God's intent. After discussing the book for two hours and an half hours, the final verdict of the book was and is: The Black Church Where Women Pray and Men Pray is a must read book/5(26).

This is a book Christian women and men need to read. It explores the Biblical understanding of women as equal image bearers of God, alongside men, who have abilities and strengths God uses, as necessary for his purpose in creation, to provide a people for Himself.

Extremely well researched and grounded in Scripture/5(81). This book, "Holy Women, Holy Men" (HWHM) is durable and will last a long time. The role of women in the church is a debate that has raged within the church for much of the twentieth century. On one side are those who say there is no difference between men and women. On the other side are those who severely limit women who want to offer ministry to the church.
